Back-to-school season can bring a little bit of everything: excitement, hope, relief, worry, and the familiar feeling that life is suddenly moving very fast again. Whatever this transition looks like for your family, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Parent Engagement Network is here to help you feel supported, connected, and ready for the year ahead.

Welcome to back-to-school season! The kiddos, staff, caregivers, and parents are all heading back to…

  • Routines – both the steadiness and the rushing
  • Peers – both the joy and the drama
  • Sports and clubs – both the triumphs and forgotten instruments and uniforms
  • New ideas and learning – both the moments of pride as well as anxiety.

Summer can be a wonderful escape in many ways. It also presents its own set of challenges and back-to-school can be a huge relief.

Whatever your experience, back-to-school is a transition that requires attention, preparation, flexibility, and support, and that’s exactly where Parent Engagement Network comes in.

We’re thrilled to share a rich calendar of fall programming and some exciting new areas of support we’re building this year. We know fall is A LOT – but everything feels a bit easier with community, useful tools, the right information, and expert and peer support around you.

Our fall kickoff, the 2nd annual Celebrate Together! ¡Celebrando Juntos!, is right around the corner…Saturday, September 12, 10am to 1pm. Come gather in community at this no-cost, all-ages event. Enjoy live music and family entertainment, delicious food and drinks, games, mini self-care sessions, and a fabulous resource fair. This year we’re excited to host the event at the brand new TLC Learning Center in Longmont.

TLC represents two exciting areas of growth for PEN this year: early childhood and the St. Vrain Valley.

  • Early Childhood: After 25 years of supporting parents of elementary, middle, and high schoolers, we’re expanding to reach parents of our youngest children, too. TLC is an early education and pediatric therapy center that has been supporting children’s cognitive and social-emotional development for 70 years. We’re proud to share that TLC will serve as one of PEN’s “hub” locations for programming throughout the year.
  • St. Vrain Valley: Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley are communities where PEN has been intentionally expanding our programming and reach. With several new partnerships in place this year, including TLC Learning Center, we’re building a stronger presence and bringing more opportunities, resources, and support to local parents and caregivers.

We’re excited about what this growth means for PEN – and, most importantly, for the parents and families we serve. We hope you’ll join us at our events and programs this fall, and invite your friends and neighbors to come meet PEN, connect with other parents, and discover the many ways we support parents and families!

In solidarity with parents,
