PEN Presents the Human Kindness Initiative
Every parent dreams of a community where their children feel safe and connected and that they truly belong. PEN has launched the Human Kindness Initiative to make this dream a reality. In collaboration with local agencies, we are excited to present a series of engaging talks, interactive workshops, and captivating theater and dance performances that delve into the challenges our children face today.
Why Attend?
- Empower Your Parenting: Gain invaluable insights and practical tools to better understand and communicate with your children.
- Strengthen Your Family Connections: Learn actionable strategies to foster a deeper sense of belonging and connection within your family.
- Create a More Compassionate Community: Engage with like-minded parents and professionals who care deeply about building a caring and connected community in which every child feels valued, understood, and embraced.
We are beyond excited to kick off our Human Kindness Initiative on Sept. 24 with “Raising Our Village: Creating a Culture of Dignity With Young People,” the keynote by nationally renowned presenter and New York Times best-selling author Rosalind Wiseman.
Rosalind is perhaps best known for her 2002 groundbreaking book Queen Bees and Wannabes, which became the basis for the iconic 2004 film and 2017 Broadway musical “Mean Girls.” The movie/musical’s 2024 reboot attests to the durability of the film’s message, which underscores the importance of kindness and elevating the voices of friends over the criticism of others.
