SUMMARY:Smart Parenting in a World with Sexting - Centennial Middle School
DESCRIPTION:Sexting has become a common form of sexual expression and\, unfortunately\, it is also a tool for manipulation\, exploitation and sexual assault. We know that middle and high school students are some of the most enthusiastic and vulnerable participants in this sexting environment.\nTo give you the tools to support your children in maintaining healthy and empowering relationships\, Centennial Middle School is partnering Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County to present “Smart Parenting in a World With Sexting”. \nJoin us for this informative panel and workshop designed to help you help your children\, navigate the challenges of healthy relationships and interactions (sexual and otherwise). We will discuss the legal guidelines of consent with sexting and the related ramifications\, and empower you with bystander intervention tools. \nThe evening will be co-facilitated by Prevention Educators at MESA (Moving to End Sexual Assault) and SPAN (Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence) and the Boulder District Attorney’s Office. \nWE RECOMMEND THAT YOUR CHILDREN NOT ATTEND THIS SESSION. \nRSVP below.  While not required it is greatly appreciated. \nPEN would like to say a special thanks to Zonta Foothills Club who worked with our presenters to make this event possible. \n \n  \nYour donations enable PEN to provide free and low-cost events to our community.  Work with us to support parents in raising healthy\, happy youth. \nDONATE NOW\n
