SUMMARY:Making a Living and a Life - A New View of “Environmental Careers”
DESCRIPTION:Are you a parent whose son or daughter is soon to make their way in the world and wants to make a difference?  Are you a young person who wants to make the world a better place through your life’s work and sees that leadership is needed to make a difference? This interactive program brings new energy and concepts to envisioning and creating a sustainable world based on “environmental literacy.”  Explore how our livelihoods can nourish us and the living systems upon which we depend.  Learn ways that environmental principles can inform and guide ALL careers\, not just those we normally think of as “environmental careers.”  Educators\, members of the business community and others are also invited to help co-envision and co-create ways to make these connections. \nPEN Partners with Martin Ogle\, because looking at how environmental literacy fits with career choices is a great example of the types of programs we do to prepare children for young adulthood. This presentation  will include a talk by Martin Ogle\, founder of Entrepreneurial Earth LLC and interactive discussions to help our community “Make a Living and a Life” – especially through the talent\, energy and optimism of young people!  This program will take place at the Broomfield Library on Wednesday\, February 7\, 7:00 p.m.   For more information\,contact Martin Ogle at Martin@EntrepreneurialEarth.com or 720-612-0506. \n* “Making a Living and a Life” is adapted from a section title in the book\, The Nature Principle\, and is used by permission from the author\, Richard Louv. \nNo Need To Register
