Early Childhood Adverse Experiences
and How to Build Resiliency

In this talk we will be looking into what are considered adverse experiences and how we can identify them in ourselves and in our children. We will also be learning together about how this experiences often shape the way we react to our emotions and the way we connect with ourselves and others. Our goal is to create a space where we can reflect on our own resiliency and how to support our children’s ability to being resilience.
Mariela is the Outreach Director and Facilitator for the Let’s Connect Parenting Program from Colorado University, at Boulder. Mariela has more than 20 years of experience working with parents and children and her focus is on violence prevention through education and connection.
