Making a Living and a Life: A New View of “Environmental Careers”

November 8, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Are you a young person who wants to make the world a better place through your life’s work, but don’t know, yet, quite how to proceed?  Are you a parent whose son or daughter is soon to make their way in the world and wants to make a difference?  This interactive program brings new energy and concepts to envisioning and creating a sustainable world based on “environmental literacy.”  Explore how our livelihoods and even our hobbies can nourish us and the living systems upon which we depend.  Learn ways that environmental principles can inform and guide ALL careers, not just those we normally think of as “environmental careers.”
This program will include a talk, reflections by local business people who purposefully address sustainability in a wide variety of work and creative discussions to enable students to consider how they will “Make a Living and a Life.

Join Martin Ogle, founder of Entrepreneurial Earth LLC and education program coordinator for Lafayette Open Space for a program for middle-high school students and their parents and teachers.  Come early for a light dinner or drinks!  To RSVP and for more information, contact Martin Ogle at Martin@EntrepreneurialEarth.com or 720-612-0506.
